1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) outlines the responsibilities of customers, partners, and end users when accessing the DataSync platform, APIs, and managed services. It prevents abuse, protects customer data, and ensures the reliability of our global connectivity network.

2. Responsible use of the platform

  • Maintain accurate contact information and keep access credentials confidential.
  • Configure role-based access control (RBAC), SSO, and MFA for all internal users.
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations when exchanging data through DataSync, including trade compliance, privacy, and industry mandates.
  • Follow DataSync implementation guides when onboarding new trading partners or automation.

3. Prohibited activities

Users may not:

  1. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to DataSync systems or other customers’ data.
  2. Upload malicious code, launch denial-of-service attacks, or intentionally degrade platform performance.
  3. Use the service for spam, phishing, or distribution of illegal content.
  4. Resell or provide the platform to third parties without written permission.
  5. Circumvent security controls, rate limits, or monitoring systems.

4. Data handling obligations

  • Encrypt customer endpoints and maintain up-to-date partner certificates.
  • Only transmit data that you have the legal right to share with DataSync and your trading partners.
  • Promptly notify DataSync if you suspect unauthorized access to your environment or partner network.

5. Fair usage & automation

  • Automated polling or API usage must respect the thresholds documented in customer agreements.
  • Large-scale backfills or bulk retransmissions should be coordinated with DataSync support so we can protect shared infrastructure.

6. Reporting concerns

If you believe an account is violating this AUP, contact legal@DataSync.com or security@DataSync.com with detailed information so we can investigate quickly. We may suspend or terminate access for violations and will always coordinate remediation steps with designated customer contacts.

7. Updates

DataSync may update this AUP to reflect new threat models or regulatory changes. We will notify administrators via email or the status page when substantive updates are made.
